Made a mess of Kaspersky

After reading a few times that AVG was not that good I decided to download Kaspersky Anti Virus (trial) but I ran out of steam and stopped it before the end of the installation thinking it would start up again tonight. The Icon is in the list but when I right click and click Open it goes so far and then says I must shut down my computer. I click OK and then there is nothing happening. Can anyone suggest how I can put this right? I have asked on the Kaspersky forum but everyone seems to post in other languages so it's possible I will not get a response.

Have you managed to fully download and install the programme?
If you have not installed the programme then simply delete the icon. If on the other hand you have installed it, remove it from withn add/remove programmes and start again.0
