question on JSA

Hello,

I have just graduate and I am currently looking for a full time/ part time job to tide me over till i get a place on a graduate scheme in september 2009. The question I have is , I currently work only 8 hours a week, can i claim JSA or any other form of allowance??

Well I graduate on the 2nd of July and from that point forth I am no longer registered as a graduate.

Blacksheep1979, fair point, however the job is not for fourteen months hence.

I would've thought you could claim for it if you're looking for a job in the meantime. Give them a call just to check it out.

If you are earning less than the rates as listed on http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/Employedorlookingforwork/DG_10018757 then yJSA will top up your income to those rates.
