The pull up nappy things will delay potty training , a child only learns what the sensation means by feeling wet when they do it . switch your son into proper pants and see how he goes, prepare for a few accidents - try and stay homefor the first week or so. if you have toomany accidents he's not ready go back to nappies and try again in a few months.I am journeying to a debt-free life.

Also just to say its really easy to grow herbs like basil, coriander etc in pots and you have a ready supply. Even someone who spends most her day running after a 1 year old (me lol) can do it!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

with regard to the bread maker, although there are several threads on here that suggest it is best to save up for a really good one, I bought an unbranded one second hand from british heart foundation for £10, and we have had two lovely loaves this week! Maybe it won't last as long as a panasonic or morph richards but maybe by the time it breaks I will have some money!! Good luck with everything:money:0

try using a local farm for eggs/potatoes, my oh passes a farm on the way to work and they sell 6 free range eggs for 75p so every week he drops in picks a dozen up and leaves the money in an honesty box. the eggs are delicious and i feel we are doing our bit to keep the farmer going and the chickens have a great life running around so everyones a winner!
next time you are out and about keep an eye out for signs on the side of the road and make a mental note of where they are, i intergrate my egg/spud shopping into journeys i have to make anyway so it doesnt cost me anything.
definately get a breadmaker but hold out for the panasonic its the bees knees...have got a granary loaf cooking as i type and it smells delish. my other bm was pants compared to the panny i just used to get yeasty bricks of stodge before with my old bm:rolleyes:proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0 -

Asda sell 6 med free range eggs for 85p - i wont buy battery either.
Have you a farm foods near you? They sell normal brands you have on your list but are cheaper than ASDA - i buy a bag of 40 birdseye Omega 3 fillet fish fingers for £3.99 i think.

I used to use oregano in everything, now I use Tesco Value dried herbs (Italian? Can't remember) - I think they were 19p.
Whatever happened to milk tokens? I'm sure they used to be available (not means-tested) to all families with babies under 1 year? Mind you, it's a long time since I was there, so I could be wrong!
Yeah you can get the value peppers in tesco too and they are cheaper but they are mixed and DS1 loves the orange ones and will eat lots of them, and anything that encourages him to eat healthily is fine by meNot sure about milk tokens, everything like that as far as I know is only available to low income families and we don't qualify for it, I'll check though!

Shops own brand loo rolls are only about £1.12 for 12 rolls and they are absolutely fine once you get used to them.0
