Can I join? I would like to pay my HSBC loan off, which is currently £293.67. I ordered a paying in book for it a few days ago, as its easier to overpay it that way. I feel like thats a small amount, I may add another, will have a look at my spreadsheet and see how things stand! Watch this space!

I'd love to join this challenge as longer term challenges do keep me focused. However a quick review of the debts show that none of mine will be clearable by Christmas. They're all too big and our main debt busting will be focused at one which is at the highest rate and currently is at £9k but will be down to just under £5k by the end of the year. All the others are smaller but at significantly lower rates and therefore we need to pay off the £9k one next.

So I'll be with you in spirit good luck :D

I would like to join in with this one please!

My Tesco credit card - current balance £573.59

I know it is quite small one but given the current state of the family finances it will be quite a challenge to find the spare cash. Challenges are not meant to be easy!!

    Hi everyone,

Got paid today so have paid off about £300. Will add it to my signature when it shows on the cards and loan. None were overpayments but am hoping to earn money on my part-time job this month and OH will be getting paid! (Yay, 1st time since last August!).

    Am loving this thread.

Paid £50 (money saved on fags & booze) to my grandparents yesterday so now challenge is 910. It feels great to be paying back my loved ones at last.
