Hi
I spoke recently to a girl who had gone to university and had been given a private room in the halls as her boyfriend was moving with her. She claimed that there were also rooms that could accomodate families, is this true?
Alternatively do universities offer any help to find accomodation for families if you are relocating a fair distance?

Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Hi
I think it varies between universities as to whether they have the facilities to do this, it is probably best to contact the university(ies) you are interested in and ask them if they could help.
If they DO have accommodation suitable for families I would imagine they are very quickly snapped up, so make sure you apply for the accommodation as soon as possible to make sure you get what you want!0 -
often the priority for 'family' accommodation goes to postgrads rather than undergrads so as lauranurse says, if you want it, get in early with you application.:happyhear0

It depends on the University. I lived in "couples accommodation" - a one bed flat, when I did my doctorate, they also had family accommodation - ranging from 2 - 4 bedrooms. This was Wolfson Coll, Oxford. Admittedly a post grad college, but some of the undergrad colleges offered similar accommodation.April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200
