Im about to buy some books for Uni from amazon.co.uk. Does anyone know any promotional codes to save me a few quid? Or is amazon affiliated to a cashback site like quidco?

Thanks

    How does it work?

In order to avail of the 5% student discount, you must get your discount code from NUS. To get this, log in to the NUS website, http://www.nusonline.co.uk, and go to the link for the Amazon discount.
To make a purchase on Amazon.co.uk using the discount code, simply follow the steps below:
    1. Select the items you wish to order from the Amazon.co.uk Retail store, using your shopping basket. (Please note you cannot use the 1-Click shopping method.)
    2. In the order form you'll see a box that says "Have you got a gift certificate or promotional code?".
    3. Enter your discount code into the box and click the "Apply" button.
You will be able to see that the value of your gift certificate has been deducted from the total cost in the order summary. When you have successfully placed your order, the following message will be displayed: "Thank you--we have received your order".
Once you have made one purchase on Amazon.co.uk using your discount code, the discount will apply to all eligible purchses within that academic year. You will not need to add it again. Discount codes expire at the end of the academic year.

    hope that helps!

Without stating the obvious, do you need to be an NUS member to do this? On the "Register" page from that link it just asks for name and email address.
