3 July 2008 - Okay, so after viewing quite a few properties at the weekend, I've managed to chose one, explained my situation to the EA and LL, passed the application and I'm now waiting for a moving date. I'm chomping at the bit for said date as I want to book my van hire so its done and one less thing for me to think about. So, will give EA a tinkle at weekend.
It all seems so surreal at the moment - I feel like I'm travelling at 100 miles an hour. The initial panic I felt seems to have subsided and what I can only describe as auto-pilot has took over. This board has been quite influential in this - so thank you to everyone
I still haven't had a good look at the BR forms, keep looking at them out of the corner of my eye but avoiding direct eye contact
They're a bit scruffy, is that normal? Not that I suppose it matters but don't want to offend judge by handing in manky paperwork (my definition of manky is wonky photocopying).
I've just received my PIN for my Co-op cashminder which is good and I've changed my wages to be paid into that account. However, after seeing an earlier post I wonder if I've opened it too soon. Should I withdraw all monies before I go BR do you think?
Well, the first bout of missed payments has started and letters regarding the cancellation of DDs have been dropping through my letterbox at a steady rate since the beginning of the week. Had a couple of 'chasing this months payment' emails too but nothing too harsh but I guess that is yet to come. Is it best to ignore chasing or give some cack n bull story to begin with? Not sure what to do. So, prepare yourselves for the panicky postings when the chasing starts in earnest!
Well, I suppose thats it for now but, in the immortal words of Arnie, I'LL BE BACK!

Well done on getting things moving. When i had calls i just said i was trying to sort things out and that i was trying to do an IVA,they did ask for the company which i gave, but then said they would hold all cals for 28 days by which time i was bc.I was not telling lies but you could say you are consulting with ????? to sort something out to give you some time.
Those forms are not so bad if you take them step by step, with the helpful notes,in a quiet room! If you are unsure leave it,go on to the next step and go back to it later. Hey Skinty, glad you've found a place that suits you. I know what you mean about travelling at 100 mph - when I first started I was sure I was going to meet myself coming in the other direction :rotfl:
I must admit I ignored the chasing emails and texts - the phone calls I just told them I was going BR on 10th June.
Not sure about the bank accounts - H and I had problems inasmuch as the OR's assistant said that the new ones we had set up would be frozen along with everything else, whereas other people have had no problems.
Panicky postings are a speciality on here mate!

Hmmm, think I might just keep my mouth shut unless 100% necessary to open it! I'm such a chicken!!

Yes dalip, me thinks a quiet room beckons! I've got brain drain now just thinking about it. I'm sure once I've started them it'll all become clear (thats my PMA kicking in!).
Right, think I might need some trash-tv for the remainder the evening..... Thanks yous x xALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B
