Has anyone visited Balamory in Tobermory? Also cheap campsites around Oban?

we went to Tobermory last year.
it was the last day of our holiday and our 5 year old really wanted to visit Balamory - so we couldnt disappoint her!
in my opinion it is best visited on foot - take the ferry from Oban to Mull and you will find coaches waiting for you at the end of the dock.
Tip - if you are going on a busy day then get to the front of the queue to disembark the ferry as some people didnt get on the coaches and had to wait for them to return!
Tobermory itself was pleasant - go to the Tourist Information Office (by the little harbour) and get a free A4 map showing you all the Balamory houses - it took about 40 minutes to see them all!
We had photos outside each one - must get a bit tiresome for the people who own them.
We had great fish and chips and then back on the coach for the return trip to the ferry.

If you are there in June or July going on a day trip to Staffa and Treshnish to see the puffins is highly recommended - expensive but worth it (we used Turus Mara).
