I'm buying a house that has been repossessed and all services have been disconnected but are still "live" as far as I know. Can anyone tell me if I will have to pay to get new meters etc from any suppliers and if so which ones don't charge.

When I bought a repossessed property, all meters were still in place.
Electric was just turned off at fuse box, gas by main isolating handle and water by stopcock under sink

I just gave meter readings to respective suppliers (which can sometimes be difficult to establish - I struck lucky, I just rang the legacy suppliers) and new accounts were set up.
