CC Fraud

I've just been subject to ID fraud with a card being setup in my name at an old address, what is the best way to check to see if other cards have been setup in my name, I was advised to do this by Barclaycard but they could not suggest where to go for this service

Any help thanks

The Royal Mail redirection service must have missread read the incorrect name and sent on a letter enrolling me in the credit card to my new address, its shocking how easy it is to setup, considering you need forms of id to setup bank accounts why not for credit cards?

All it needs is something such as a bank statement to be sent to an old address and that's enough to give someone an opportunity (as it may well have salary, place of work etc on it).

All someone needs is a name of the workplace and they can then locate its address.

I personally think it's worth everyone getting their credit file (the £2 one) once a year to ensure it is accuarate.

Hope the OP gets this sorted.
