Putting up heavy posters on wall

My kids have got some heavyweight posters (thick, glossy ones) which I've attached to the bedroom's painted walls with blu-tack in about 9 places on each poster. However the posters are still too heavy for the blu-tack and keep falling off the walls, bringing bits of paint & plaster down with them.
I tried small map pins this morning, but they just bend or break as I put them in the plaster. I've tried putting them in with pliers and also with a hammer but they're no good.
I'd be really grateful for any ideas as to how to get them up and keep them up! I don't think the plaster in the bedroom is that great.

I'd try using Sticky Fixers in place of the blu-tack.
I also noticed
Sticky Loop Strips whilst browsing Sellotapes website that might work too.

Not very money-saving I know , but I bought clip frames for my son's posters :
