We're celebrating the return of the Daleks by giving one reader the chance to win a limited-edition print, entitled Dalek Elevation, showing a Dalek in all its golden glory.

One of a range of prints created by Deparement Six (more info at www.departmentsix.com), it comes wrapped in Gallifreyan tissue paper in a presentation box with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist Matthew Savage and Doctor Who production designer Edward Thomas.

How many globes are there on the sides of a standard gold Dalek?

My son has a 12cm r/c gold dalek & I've just counted the globes (if these are the bumps all around it).

There are 28 on each side - making 56 in all.

I've just had another look at the picture in the radio times which shows a side and front on view.

Although not totally clear it looks like 7 panels (of 4 globes) on each side giving 56 globes in total which matches info from soxmum.
