Lost my Sky+ Warranty???

Hi folks

I took Sky+ last October and had 12 month warranty on the box.

It just blew up and was therefore replaced in the best Sky tradition with a recon model (which is a con anyway). However, the engineer said there was 30 days' warranty on that.

Does anybody else interpret this as meaning my original warranty has now gone until the end of this 'new' 30 day period, ie, sometime in July?

What happens if the box blows between then and October? I must be covered until October under the original terms, yes?

I would expect so - sounds like the engineer was confused.
