I applied for extenuating circumstances (as one of my module's work is overdue) but there doesn't seen to be a way around it. I think I might fall under those rules, as the degree has a professional body qualification attached :(

Does your course offer academic counselling / support / personal & pastoral tutors? They can sometimes offer guidance (and be able to provide suitable documentary evidence at a formal appeal). Don't forget that financial woes can also be used as a mitigation, especially as you are supporting your family with their dmp!

    Good luck with it.

I'm not sure, there's a disability support officer who I've had some (very little) support from this year - not sure if she could help.

I think it's going to be a long fight if there is a solution and I'm not sure I've got it in me.

You are all so helpful on here! Everybody is! I think being a DFW is great and I am priviledged to be part of this happy band of sisters and brothers!

So much so that if you have a facebook page, and of course if you would like to, I would like to become a facebook friend! Please PM me and I'm sure we can find each other somehow! This isn't for popularity, it's just me wanting to be able to show off my friends!! I hope that makes sense and I hope you'll forgive my outburst of love and affection for you all!! QBx

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
