er..pesky and premier et al.... why on earth are you browsing these freebie sections if you simply want to criticise and pick holes? What do WE care about the quality of the forum that is offering us freebies?, arent we here to find freebies? if you're so worried about the quality of the forums content then add to it or, if you're just after the freebie, then try getting grateful!0

A little touchy here, i was merely stating my opinion and i decided not to go for that particular freebie, some i do and some i don't i have the right to choose as do you , i browse the forums as we all like a bargain.0 -
Apologies pesky2. I spend more time on US freebie sites where they just gobble up the freebies without thinking (the trick is trying to find US companies to post to UK though!)! having looked at https://www.thespaceforum.com again it doesnt look like you actually need to give your email address anyway so it seems safe anyway? :beer:0

Apology accepted, i have received so much junk spam to my email address registered for these forums that i am now being really selective about what i order, as alot of times i have signed up for freebies and not got anything apart from spam from the USA , the reason i know where it's coming from is because the email address registered is only used for these forums.0 -
Understood, when you say 'these' forums do you mean forums offering freebies?
I guess by enabling us to use a 'spoof' email https://www.thespaceforum.com is registering this concern and trying to overcome these legitimate worries.
My own experience of spam was non-exisitent until about two months ago when all of a sudden I started getting about 30 nasty spam a day. I can see that the email address its being sent to is one I only use for business so I just dont understand HOW they got it! Apparently unless I delete that email account (which i nthink I will do actually) im stuck with it.
Of course if a website doesnt even need your email address you're safe. :T0 -
Well I've signed up for the forum as I'm doing an OU course in Astronomy next year. I won't bother with the chocolate bar though...0
