Burglar alarm repairs

The previous owner installed a burglar alarm in our house and we have an annual maintenance contract with the alarm company.
The house is very old, no foundations and does "move" a bit with seasons.
This year, just before the maintenance was due, the alarm went off for no reasons a couple of time ; we don't use it when we are in, only for holidays away so it wasn't armed it was a "lid tamper" issue.
The engineer came (in october), I mentioned it, he checked the box and left and we paid. A few weeks later, the alarm went off by itself again.
Called the company and told them I wasn't happy with the maintenance since the only problem we had wasn't fixed. He came back and we were OK.

Recently we did some DIY which set off the alarm again. Couldn't stop it so we called the engineer on sunday. He came, went up to the outside panel and said he stretched the spring so we should be fine. We paid the £250 odd bill
Less than a month later, the alarm woke me up (and the neighbours) at 6 am, and according to next door went off again mid morning for no reason.
The engineer came a few days later and disconnected the outside switch (i'm happy with that).
I have now received another bill for £151.27

Although I accept the guy came round, I don't see why I should pay twice for the same problem that wasn't sorted properly before.

Do you think I have a case ?

How much????? Omg what a price for your service. The last time I got my alarm serviced I was £25 from the guy who fitted it. He is just a local guy and absolutely brilliant.

He also came out and fixed my next door neighbours alarm not just once, but twice for nothing, and when my tamper switch went off, after laying laminate flooring he came and sorted that out. It was a spring in the living room sensor directly below the laminate getting laid which had jumped out.

What was your company servicing in the way of PIR's, door sensors etc. I've got 4 PIR's, back and front door sensor and a panic button for the service, bell box and control panel if that makes sense.

I'd be looking around for someone else do do your service for the prices you've been paying. I only paid £280 for my whole system to be installed and again the guy did a fantastic job and there is no wires on show unlike some folks I know.

Back to the point, if the fault is not rectified I wouldn't be paying any further bills and would tell them in no uncertain terms just that.

    My word!
I thought we were paying a lot, but somehow it never occured to us that we could shop around to have it seen to.
Haven't phoned yet, but I shall tomorrow.
