Hi
Sorry if this has already been asked before but I've been away for a month or so and have been a bit out of touch with MSE.
I want to buy 200 BA shares and want to know who or where the cheapest place would be. I would also like to avoid being held in a nominee account.
Could someone please help me on who the cheapest would be?
Thanks

Hi,
The cheapest place I have found for buying shares in certificated form is Squaregain. £12.50 for the purchase and £10 for the certificate.0 -
I'm guessing you might be after this shareholder perk:

Hargreaves Landsdown have a charge of £15:

This appears to include providing a share certificate:

Yes, I want to get the 10% perk, esp as I spend about £2k+ a year on BA flights.
Thanks for the help."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
I know this might be off topic but might you save more than 10% if you shopped around for cheaper airlines and not always go BA.

That is true, but I do actually find that buying from BA directly works out the same price. Also I have status with BA, so if I go economy with them I get lounge access, priority check in, boarding, etc."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -

I'm surprised that no-one has yet mentioned the "Recommend A Friend" promotion that Squaregain does. All you need to do is to recommend Pin, by passing Pin's email to Squaregain; once Pin has made a minimum trade of £500 both Pin and the recommender receive £50 into their trading account.
Just pm me if it interests you Pin.0 -
