Supergirl..........

I really need a supergirl outfit for a 5 year old but really can't afford the £16 that they are selling for on e bay.... Any idea's!

It is for a super heroes day at school! I hate when the school do things like this as my little girl is desparate to be supergirl....

Thanks

Cloak made from old sheet. Tights and vest in the right colour. Belt from more of sheet. Tin of Dylon, job done.

Knickers over tights? Or does Supergirl have more sense of what's appropriate than Batman?

Forgive me if I have demonstrated that I have no idea what Supergirl actually wears ...

Possible with this ironed onto the vest top. If she want to wear a skirt maybe you could make a short frilly one out of some cheap material, hem top and bottom with a piece of elastic threaded through the top.

Supergirl wore a blue leotard with a logo on the front, and a little red skirt and red boots, iirc

There, OBVIOUSLY way more fashion sense than Batman! :rotfl:

You could make the boots from red material - well, not boots exactly, but imitation. Two triangles of red material large enough to cover the top of her shoes, cut a chunk out to define the ankles, cut the top off straight, sew together leaving a sort of tube much fatter at one end than the other, bit of elastic underneath, job done.

Or a pair of red wellies?

I've seen Santa wearing boots like this at Christmas, if that helps explain it ...
