I've got a Barclay's credit card - got one when they were doing a £50 in vouchers when you used it once. I spent about £2 and got the vouchers for Argos.
This week I've had two offers in the post affiliated to the card:
1. Sign up to a 30 day trial of MyStuff and get a Digital Video MP3 player for free. According to the leaflet you can cancel during the 30 day trial and owe nothing yet keep the player. £6.99 monthly fee to stay with MySuff - doubt anyone would. Cancellation number is 0800 917 7683 so should be free to cancel.
2. Sign up to a 30 day LeisureTime trial and get £40 Petrol reward. You can cancel during the 30 day trial and get to keep the petrol reward. Cancellation number is 0800 389 2347. Annual fee would be £69.99 again doubt anyone would keep the membership. The petrol voucher is claim up to £10 per quarter by sending them your receipt so sounds a bit of a hassle.
Both offers are from Affinion International Limited. (did a search on here for their name and found only that they are like Sentinal Card protection)
So has anyone else taken up these offers? Are they too good to be true? Has anyone had problems cancelling and them charging your card when you don't want them to?

Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0

Hi, I signed up for the 30 day MyStuff trial and then cancelled before the end of the first month. I got the free Digital Video MP3 player (you get to keep even if you cancel) and sold it on eBay for £10.
In case anyone is wondering, it's a Coby MP-C7095 (2Gb MP4 Video player). Nothing dodgy about these deals. Just cancel by phone (0800 number) before the trial period ends. Sorted!"If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart"0 -

I got the petrol offer, tore it up and threw it in the bin but that's me and not advice for you to do the same.0 -
I signed up for the trial of MyStuff and got my free MP3 player
Nothing really special about it to be fair. I use it as a 'rough and tumble' MP3 player. (Rather not get the screen of my ipod touch cracked) Cancelling was pretty easy although they asked me why but was rather blunt and said I just wanted the free mp3 player
I got the £40 petrol voucher offer too but decided that £10 per quarter wasn't worth bothering with. I'd probably forget to claim the remaining £30 after the first one lolWinnings:

I've used these deals in the past to get the cost of petrol and broadband fees back. They work well and are easy money in my opinion.0

Think I'll sign up for it and get the MP3 Player then! Will be ideal for gym or to give to my neice. If I have any problems cancelling I'll let you all know...0 -
They've sent me a 1GB MP3 Player with a 0.9 inch screen not the MP3/Video player with 1.6 inch screen that they advertised.
A 2GB version like "khalid" got would be even better.
I'll have to have a chat with customer service :wall:
I got my first £10 cheque for diesel with no problems

Well I got my mp4 player today (1GB) looks good - bought one identical about 2 and half years ago for my son for around £40 but it had 2 gb. I have been waiting since Feb for this! Now its here and all charged up - full of music but it doesn't work! Can't hear a thing - tried different head phones etc but to no avail!
I did take up the petrol deal and claimed back my whole £40!

I got conned into 'Leisuretime' by the petrol vouchers. I never recieved my welcome pack, the trial passed and now I have been debited £69.99 that I cannot get refunded. See http://www.jonathanmacdonald.com/?p=2254&disqus_reply=6781913#comment-6781913 for more details. Do not even think about taking out this offer!:mad:0
