    Hi Pink_fluff,

There's an earlier thread with varying opinions on whether or not macaroni cheese freezes well so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

  • I have frozen macaroni cheese a few times, but always defrost and reheat in the oven with added fresh grated chedder on top, like the idea of adding breadcrumbs to give it a bit of crunch. its one of families favourite teas, nice and tasty filling too.
  • If it is in the freezer aisle in the supermarket then it is good to freeze. Pasta is fine to freeze, and it is always better to add the pasta to the sauce - I always freeze any leftovers and haven't killed anyone with it yet!!! With Macaroni cheese, I also cook in the oven from frozen with extra cheese on top, about 45 minutes throwing in garlic bread for the last 10 mins - served with salad, tops!!!
