Messenger - Can't Open My Email In Box

Hi : anyone else having trouble retrieving emails from their hotmail account? I can open Windows Messenger but can't get into my emails.

I can't send/recieve files or send/recieve links in my Windows Live Messenger.

This happened on 2 of my computers yesterday. I found that by upgrading to Windows Live Messenger 8 the problem was solved.

My computers have Messenger 8 but they still refuse to send links.

Try Google for a link to Hotmail.

Hi again,
Tried upgrading to Messenger 8 but still can't get into my emails. Funny thing is, I can get into them from my laptop - its just the desktop that wont work - weird...
Am gonna try Google to Hotmail next.

Well, Google to Hotmail works but why won't it work from the Messenger icon?

Sorted! after googling the problem, I got two tips. Checked and modified the Norton firewall settings and also found that the MSN program was listed twice in the Norton program list so, as advised, deleted one and then, after shutting down the PC and starting up again, it is working fine now.
