This isn't a voucher, but it is a tip.
In the UK there must be an interplay between the local alcohol licensing authority and the providers of "ethnic" food.
For someone new to business, perhaps with the only assets of a family prepared to work long hours for less than a minimum wage, then getting the lease on a restaurant must mean immense pressure to achieve some sort of cash flow to pay the rent, while still mutually wrangling with the bureaucracy.
This week, I've managed to read "deals" pages as far as the suggestion to Bring Your Own Bottle.
http://www.wine-pages.com/food/byoblist.shtml#south
My light bulb "Brick Lane" moment, based on happy memories of clanking round town both in the UK and Australia armed with a "carry out" of bottles of wine; Brick Lane being a street in a traditional "sweat shop" area just to the East of the City of London. It is now home to many mainly Muslim run restaurants.
It seems to me I have connected two pressures that encourage the BYOB phenomena:
1. Delays by the bureaucracy.
2. Pressures from the local community, not to be seen to encourage "the devil's work" by selling alcohol.
The compromise being BYOB.
So my advice is to keep your eyes open for a new restaurant opening and give it a try before it is able to charge 15 quid for a bottle available in Calais for 2.50.
Harry.
PS I have fond memories of spotting the "Lahore" being put together, using a eclectic mix of second hand furniture, from the top deck of the bus. It has gone a bit "up market" since then but still offers very reasonable value for money.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the OK Diners where kids eat free (one free kids meal with one adults meal). We are regulars and they've given us a 15% discount card, not sure if you have to ask for that or register. https://www.okdiner.com is the site, but if you're opening it at work beware as the site has music that starts when the page loads!
Also, check on the site if your local one has the offer, Durham, Derby, Cannock, Northop Hall, all do according to the site.0 -
It won't allow me as a new user to post links. Go to the Revolution-Bars and add forward slash vouchers forward slash 241

Marks And Spencer are doing a Dine in for 2 for £5 Pie deal -Pie or Casserole, Mash and Veg. No starters or dessert unlike the usual £10 deal. I went for the Chicken Pie, Ulitmate Mash and pack of Cauliflower, Carrots and Brocolli. More than enough for 2 main meals. There was a steak pie and a casserole option, Colcannon Mash and a pack of cabbage and leeks I think as other choices.0
