Cahoot taking a leaf from the ICICI book?

Ah, ok, that makes sense - DD's usually take something like 10 days before they are active...
BTW, I eventually got my "Your bonus savings account is now set up" email this afternoon from Cahoot [thank you very much, Egg MoneyManager told me at 9 o'clock yesterday morning that I had a new Cahoot account!!!]. Thorough they are at Cahoot, but a bit sloooooow at it  Took them twice as long as it took them first time round to open a savings account.
Nonetheless - I think I'll take back my suggestion that Cahoot has been learning from ICICI - 7 days to open a savings account is still better than the 3 or so weeks it takes with ICICI. It's all relative............0 -

Hi, anybody got the email address for the CEO at Cahoot?
My identification has been rejected because I cannot meet the criteria of providing evidence of my name exactly as entered onto their website. I have a third christian name that has been accepted by all other banks, build socs, utilities etc. However cahoot don't recognise third christian names. This means that I have no identification with just my first two christian names on! On this basis I have been rejected.
Oh and by the way, cahoot haven't notified me - I had to inquire as to what had happened to my application (made 2 weeks ago).
I have had a cahoot account in the past but for some reason this has no bearing on this matter.

I opened a Cahoot Bonus Savings account and got a similar email asking about the source of funds. I think the reason for this is that in my original online application where I was offered the opportunity to transfer funds from an existing Cahoot account, my existing savings accounts were not included :-(
.....This created the need for the extra email and delayed funds reaching the new account.PLEASE DO NOT STEAL

I recently saw a programme on TV and this information is necessary as per Money Laundering regulations. (Know Your Customer). I have recently opened a new cahoot Savings account and whilst the account was waiting for the DD to be linked I phoned and asked for the sort code and account number and transferred funds from Barclays electronically. Money was there in 3 days.. ( Sort code is 09-06-43 ) your account number should show on your cahoot website.. Enjoy:cool: The Bug

1. Yes, the funds will come from another cahoot account
2. Yes it’s is a reinvestment from external bank account
3. Yes, it’s a sale of assets
4. Yes it’s a gift
5. Yes it’s a transfer from another bank
6. Yes it’s inheritance
7. No I won’t be investing £5,000 or more into this account as an initial deposit
I got the same email. Does anybody understand what the difference is between (2) and (5)? Even the lady I spoke to at Cahoot didn't seem to know.
