To record from your Sky + box you need to find the source select or input select button on your DVDR and set it to one of the AV channels. Play back the program on the Sky + box and set the DVDR to record.

PS the system should be connected as follows with Scart leads: TV > Sky Box > DVD Recorder.

Shouldn't that be Sky Box > DVD Recorder > TV ?

i though the Sky bix worked as a hub so TV scart and DVD scart both connected to it.

I record to DVD all teh time froM Sky +.

    Have you managed it yet?

Depends which manual you read! I use the config as stated.
I also have a separate HDMI cable direct from the DVD recorder to the TV for a bit of upscaling.

I use Sky+ TV out > to DVD recorder in > TV --- This maintains the aspect ratio of the original recording -- I would also not use the "Copy" function as this will also change the aspect ratio -- Dave

Good point Dave, the copy function screws with the aspect ratio, and doesn't even copy on my box. Sky said it was a bug that developed after the autostandby/anytime upgrade....... but have yet to fix it.
