Sky+ box replaced, but where's my warranty gone!?

I took Sky+ on 9 October 2007 and had year's warranty on the Pace box until 8 October 2008.

The box recently blew up, within the warranty period, so they replaced it, usual Sky style, with a reconditioned one, which has a warranty for 30 days, due therefore to expire at the end of July.

Question is, where's the warranty gone from the end of July until October?

What happens if after 30 days, the box explodes again? Surely my initial 1 year warranty is in place?

Any takers on this please or I may just take em to court.
