Can anybody recommend which uk car hire companies I could use that allow you to take the vehicle abroad to France?

Hi jozvaldo - sorry if this sounds silly but have you considered hiring a car once you arrive in France?

If you take a UK-configured vehicle over to Europe, you'll need to mask the headlights & meet various other requirements (there may be extra charges levied by the hire company for travelling into Europe).
