  • hi guys- sorry if my addition to your thread was weird last night(understatment) - it was too much wine, you know the one where you have not had enough to knock you out but enough to make a fool out of yourself.....i have deleted all could

the thruth is that a close member of my family is addicted to these message boards( i dont think it's particularly this one)- she has mental health issues(multiple personality disorder) and there is terible neglegence towards the children - i have tried to help the kids through the social but they wont do anything becouse the partner still cooks for them( the house has not been cleaned for years and its like something out of a horror movie).
i did not mean to take my alcohol infused frustration out on you, so sorry to all...

Apology accepted sunnybubble, and for the record, there is absolutely NO negligence of my children going on - I post when they are asleep, or at school, or playing. I would never prioritise chatting to people online over my family. :)

    sunnybubble, no problem. Apology accepted.

Why not start a thread on the Families and Relationships board to see what support you can get or if there is debt involved, this board :)

not a problem, you aren't spoiling anything.

To start a thread, click on the 'start new thread' button at the top of the boards.

Is anyone else aware of the situation? Other family members? have social services been involved at all in the past?

You're not spoiling the thread. :)

To start your own though, if you go back to the main DFW board, at the top left (ish), between the bankruptcy sub-board and the main DFW board, there is a 'new thread' option. Just click on that and away you go.

Your not spoiling the thread, and anyway a real troll would not come back to apologise. It just sounds like frustration got the better of you last night. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

refreshed as the other was getting to long because evryone is wonderful and helpful!!!.:D
