@ Numpty - hey, downs are good, without them we ain't got ups - but p*$$ awful for 3 days on the trot is testing that theory hard, lol.

@Wol and Horace - I ain't ruled out a return from regretter - he had a lot to grapple with, and the info we needed wasn't instantly available - personally I'd give it another 4 weeks.

I'm ok at work until some clown in an office comes up with an idea that they think takes as long to do as type an email and buck pass

one day i would love to visit this planet theory:confused:

Planet theory? Can't help, only theory I test frequently and it works is the buffalo theory on beer ...

A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.

This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers, and that's why beer is so so obviously good for you!

Now that theory works every time for me!

    Have a better day tomorrow!!

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

refreshed as the other was getting to long because evryone is wonderful and helpful!!!.:D

.. a just in case pania checks up on us bump - hope things are improving for you, p!

And Numpty - you post the funniest photos, make some of best jokes/cracks - so don't get down on yourself - not justified in any way, buddy! I was going to say "credit where credit is due" - but somehow this just seems the wrong place to use that phrase. :D

    Signing off ...
