Hello
This is a question on behalf of my daughter which she has written below
thanks very much for all replies
I'm currently trying to make a wedding DVD for a family friend.
I've made the video of all the pictures and saved in .avi format. I am now using Cyberlink PowerProducer to try and get the video onto DVD with a menu and such. However, when I upload onto the DVD disc, it won't play on my DVD player.
(tried other dvd players also )
First of all can anyone tell me how to get the DVD player to read the disk and second of all does anyone know of any good and free software for creating DVDs with menus and stuff.
thanks for ann replies

At a guess, you may have burnt the disc as a data disc and not as a dvd, put the disc back in the computer and browse the files, if you just have a .avi file then you've only burnt it as a data disc.
If it's a DVD it should have a folder called VIDEO_TS on it. An avi file can only be played by computers and dvd players that support this.0 -
it also depends on the dvd player can it play avi how old is the dvd player can it play both plus and minus dvd most new dvd players can but maybe worth checking.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
