Boots 3 for 2 loophole?

This is for the boots buy 3, get one free (Green parcel stickers)

Okay - they way this was last year, was the cheapest in your basket would be free.

ie.
£10, £10, £15, £5, £7, £3 - you would get the cheapest 2 free - £5 and £3

BUT

This year, its the cheapest of every 3 items!
so,
£50, £40, £30, £20, £10, £5 - you get the £30 and the £5.

This is clearly noted in their new catalouge - not only online but according to their catalogue also at the tills instore.

So although this is not neccessarily a loophole, if you put through your items in a clever order, you will get some better bargins than last year (Expensive one, then medium ones then cheaper ones etc and not all grouped/mixed together)

Plus go online, free delivery over £40 plus uses a discount code (on the Codes board) for extra points too - upto 1500 point for a £100 spend

I did that last year online to get the best deals (to get the free delivery and extra points each time!)

But for others like my mother who don't have the time and just wanted to go into boot for one trip, it will work out better this year!

I really dont think it will matter what order you put the items through the till. I'm sure the tills will automatically 'price' the goods and deduct the correct 'free' item.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

as this is more a general information post about how to get the best from this offer, rather than a Quick! Grabbit bargain, I've moved this over to Shop but don't drop.

I just had a quick try at this online and whatever order I put things into the basket it always, without fail, deducted the cost of the cheapest one so it doesn't seem to work online although it may work in store

no i thought it was the other way around - even if you put them through in the order to get you the best discount, the tills could work out which were the two cheapest items off your whole shop, and then deducted that

last year, if you put them through at £50, £40, £30, £20, £10 & £5 you got the £35 discount, but this year, you will only get £15

the website is saying two cheapest items on whole shop, are free

    I put in my basket an item for £20 + £15 + £10 + £8 + £6 + £3
and it gave me the £10 + £3 items free
