No, I defo wouldn't shop him. Not because I agree with benefit fraud because I definately don't.

If it was me, I would give him it straight and tell him he should pack it in before he's caught. But he is your OH's dad maybe your partner could talk to him?

My hubby ex has been a right witch at times, and I know for a fact she's claiming benefits for 6 kids on her own and she has had a bloke living with her for years! 2 of the kids are his. Even though we dont get on I wouldn't shop her as I believe what comes around goes around(And anyway I truly wouldn't want to see her or her family hurt!). So If he doesn't listen to you, leave him to it but he will probably be caught in the end. And anyway you'll be the one feeling bad later when you see your OH upset, and your FIL investigated. It's not worth it!
Me before I found this forum  And me after going through BR with everyone's help :j

never ever disturb troubled waters as they always come back to you...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I would say you should speak to your OH, tell your OH your misgivings and how you feel he should be reported. But leave it up to your OH, after all it's your OH's father, surely it should be up to them?

Think of the possible repercussions of your actions causing problems or even imprisonment of your FIL, by you shopping him. That decision really should be made with your OH.

It could cause problems between you and your OH.
