No but they will continue to increase(taxes) if people continue to cheat the system, and we all turn a blind eye. .........Im sure the OP could do with a little extra money to ease the way, after all we are in the middle of a credit crunch. but probably wouldnt take advantage of the system like others0

no way should you shop him, i totally disagree with benefit fraud but think what this could do to YOUR personal life, im sorry but blood is thick and all, let the people who get paid to catch crooks do their jobs0

Its an anonymous phone line, how is the FIL going to find out 'who' dobbed him?0
-
i think things must be pretty hard for him so no dont report him, theres much worse things going on in the world!!!!0

quite honestly, regarding his circumstances isnt anything to do with it, hes cheating the system and thats that!
already bankrupt, that obviously hasnt deterred him from spending has it, hes obviously got a problem if he feels the need to get more money by cheating it! report him, i couldnt care who it is myself, if theyre big and old enough to cheat the benefit system, then theyre big enough and old enough to take the consequences and not give a toss about anyone else!0 -

I would definitely report them. I am a benefit fraud investigator. I am also a tax payer and don't see why I should work to keep people like them on benefit. If they hold their hands up and confess all before getting caught they would get let off with an overpayment and a dressing down. If they wait to get caught then they run the risk of prosecution. You also have your own conscience to deal with.0

No but those of us not on benefits will be paying a little less overall
do you REALLY believe that?
when HMG allow EU residents to come into the UK from poland, rumaonia, bulgaria, etc, then claim child benefit for the kids back home with little or no checks as the the authenticity of the claims?
