I knew wow, Hole, John Peel. I have old cassettes off the JP show with Hole in session and Nirvana. I was only listening to " Celebrity skin" the other day. I have some other Cd's of Hole and CL but I can't remember where they are, such is the amount of music in the house. Wow :T I will have to find them. The JP sessions are very old, before the big time, well before:cool:

Cassettes! omg, I haven't seen my cassette collection in a while! I used to listen to JP and Gary Crowley every sunday whilst nursing cider induced hangovers. Those two were always the first to play the best unknown bands before they were signed. Oh to be a teen again....

I used to have an 'eight track' stereo system - God knows if you could still even get cassettes for that? :rotfl: :rotfl:

It WAS really 'hi-tech' given that most people only had 'reel to reel' tape recorders, Dansette record players and would 'record' music by holding the microphone close to their 'transistor radio' speakers.

You were well sought after if you had an 'eight-track' system - even if you, like me, only had about three or four cassettes. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm desperately trying to remember the cassettes that I had - I seem to remember Crosby, Stills and Naish and Deep Purple, but it was a long time ago. ;)

I have the 'age' - my wife questions my 'maturity' - is that 'class'?

Or is it the 'Class of 1968'
