We hardly ever do anything for charity at our place of work, even though this year, we all picked a dedicated charity to donate to. Soooo i was thinking of mentioning the wedding dress day that ive seen in take a break to the boss & seeing if its a good way to raise some cash for our local charities!
I have a few fundraising ideas- like a wedding cake bake (i work in a bingo hall with lots of lovely ladies who love baking so this should definately work!) asking round local companies for an auction. Collection buckets- the usual thing. But im stuck for other ideas- i want to have a basic idea of what we would do, so the boss doesnt turn round and say too much like hard work!
So any of you lovely peeps out there care to share some fundraising ideas with me??

At our place of work every year we hold a book sale. Ask everyone to bring in some books they have read and no longer want and then hold a big sale and charge maybe 50p per book. We made over £500 for charity last time we did that!Lydia

What about asking the boss to donate from the proceeds of the bingo ticket sales that day? He will probably get a lot of publicity out of it and get more people through the door as a result of that - you could sell it to him that way!! The local press should publicise it for you if you contact them.0
