Yep, and it did look nice against his skin..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I don't know, they seem to bring out naughty Bob!! But we like it!!
I am excited mixed with oh god what if my friend's train doesn't get here on time, oh god what if we miss the airport bus.. once we're on the plane I'll relax (while she's panicking about the flight)! Other than that... I'm grinning like an idiotDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Well, I've got to say I wouldn't do that much travelling in a fortnight again but it was great! Very hot and sunny everywhere... Italy - wine, Limoncello, pasta, fish, olive oil, ice cream, swimming in the sea off Capri, visiting Pompei with the best tour guide you can imagine, boat to Amalfi, lazy dinners in Sorrento, lots of very hot trains, being fined an extortionate amount by an angry guard for misunderstanding the bus ticket system , flying visit to Milan, saw Il Duomo, ate more pasta.. on to Switzerland - nice outdoor cafes, boat across the Rhine, preparations for Swiss National Day (though we missed the actual day), discovering the Basel equivalent of the £1 shop to stock up on toiletries, and the most fantastic all you can eat veggie buffet restaurant, had to phone my bank as they'd cancelled my cashline card thinking it had been stolen and used abroad ... very nice overnight train to Prague - woken up by lovely cheery young man saying "Good morning, Czech Republic!", day of looking round the city then off to Poland on rather less nice train, that kept stopping in the middle of nowhere.. got to Krakow late at night - fantastic hostel, more great food, mm dumplings, visiting the castle and the Dragon's Cave, the Jewish quarter, Auschwitz (worth seeing but very upsetting), people thinking we were Polish and asking us directions/ the time/ 'is this the right train?'/ possibly all sorts of other things as I didn't understand, lots of meals in outdoor cafes and entertainment in the main square in Krakow, dancers, singers, gymnasts, and a professional cycle race on the last night! Came back with some Italian pottery and Polish sweets, soup and of course vodka!!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Urgh, it's weird being back to reality! Have to say though it's lovely being back in my own little flat, being able to cook myself meals (whoever thought you could get bored of eating out?!
), having some time to myself, and also catching up with OH last night, missed him a lot. Have spent most of the day putting my photos onto the PC and then attempting to load them up onto Facebook but have had a nightmare with the connection so slow progress there. Oh and doing washing.. tons of washing.. :rotfl:
Bank account is not looking healthy - all the vital stuff has been paid for the month but I have just under two weeks till payday and have about £20 in the bank, £30-40 on my prepaid card and about £50 in Polish Zlotych to change back. It's manageable but not too great. Also owe my friend money back from when my card wouldn't work abroad, but thankfully she's not expecting that in a great hurry. Got plenty of food in, thankfully, so shouldn't need too much on that front (Karma, if you're there, how's the grocery challenge going?)
Not looking forward to going back to work, but really unsure if I want to carry on the great job hunt or not.. hmmmm...........................Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
