Well I have caught up with most of you on the daily chat - weekend was a bit of a let down and I dunno where things are going with that. Having some very deep thoughts about things but I don't want to say much at the moment.
Money-wise, I did a big shop yesterday - very healthy too, lots of veg and I invested in Tesco's 3 packs of meat for £10 so I have lamb, pork and beef to get through.
Another £20 off debt by direct debit too, yay!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Life has its ups and downs and i am sure you will work it all out. It is weird sometimes at the beginning of a relationship and also how characteristic traits overlap and then leave us feeling a tad confused when it is not quite the same or we were expecting more.
One thing i did catch was that he does seem comfortable in your company and that does say a lot...sometimes there is no need for speaking just being.
I too bought one of the Tesco 3 for 10 packs all lean, but i am back on the trail after HFW last night..i am so behind better living conditions for animals.I have not bought a cheapie, non free range chicken yet..bit of a pun there.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hmm.. I'm not sure if it was comfortable or not. Things were a bit awkard yesterday as well though we only 'spoke' by text. Who knows
Yep I had the moral struggle over not free range.. but bank balance wonI have ordered lots of veg seeds so should hopefully be able to have lots of 'free' veggies later in the year so can spend more on other things.

I know, my bank balance is dire at mo..and very little coming in for moi this month..as i buy the food. I am not judging either, because i have done in the past.
I only buy once a month maybe twice if i see a good offer on ie whoopsies sitting in the freezer now. I just think it should be a good fair price for all..including farmers, and welfare for the birds. It is the supermarkets which seem to have forced everyones hand..yep, they say it is what consumers want, but how much do they chuck away? Bloomin scandalous..Me stepping down off soapbox.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

You are absolutely right Bob. To be honest I don't usually buy that much meat but I still feel quite run down and am not sure that my usual diet of pasta and veg is helping. Wondering if I might be a bit anaemic since I seem to be cold and tired a lot.. so steak and spinach for me tonight!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Hello Squizz,
As someone who works for just about the largest chicken ( volume, not bloody great big chooks, silly ) suppliers dont waste your money on a 'free-range' supermarket bird. Find a good local farm supplier. We process 200,000 birds a day for all the big smkts, but I dont usually bother with our birds even at £1.25 each! Our local farm shop sell their own 8lb birds for only about £1 a lb and the difference is amazing having been running around the field for a few months rather than in a shed for 6-8 weeks!
I only work there for the money, its 'orrible.:D stay wonky
:D

That's interesting to hear Pepe. Maybe I should get some chickens in the garden, wonder what the landlady would say.. :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
