Helloooo... I'm not sure about Paul McKenna, I find him a bit creepy :o

Talking of food though, have decided to try doing a yearly grocery budget - not sure if it's going to work but I'm thinking it's easier when it comes to bulk buying. So I'm trying for £500 for the rest of the year, which works out about £1.30 a day. Wish me luck!

Wowee..... £500 a year. I *know* I couldn't do that - but good luck to you, absolutely, I'll be cheering on from the sidelines.

As for Paul McKenna .... I didn't say I didn't find him creepy! He is a bit, sometimes, he's very driven and there's that showman side to him. I think he's come through it and out the other side, towards talking sense, but its left sort of a "residue", if you know what I mean ....

Just getting a 'cannot display page' here Pepe...

The cough that I had before Christmas has come back with a vengeance - my lungs hurt :( Am at work but not sure if I'll last the whole day.

Bought a few bits in Tesco last night, not a good start as I didn't feel like cooking properly so got things like a jar of pasta sauce :o Did get quite a few gardening things for my birthday though - like veg seeds - so that should help later in the year!

Your lungs hurt? That sounds *horrible* - I'm not surprised you didn't feel like cooking. I have to say, when I'm ill, I just ignore the budget, I get loads of ready meals in, it saves on the washing up too. Living alone is no fun if you're ill - take care!

Hmm ten years of smoking (on and off) still has bad effects when I get a cold I think, even though I stopped (apart from the very occasional one) ages ago, whenever it was that the smoking ban came in!

Got a birthday cheque to pay into the bank and I can't even be bothered walking up there to do that :o

Oh! Well, I guess you're on the upward slope now - each few months, you'll have less and less effects from the years of smoking that you did do. Hopefully you haven't got any permanent scarring.... hugs, Squirrel.

  • Aww poor Squizz, lots of inhalers and a brandy as well as paracetamol, hot water bottle, good telly, a comfy duvet, jimjams, dressing gown and fluffy slippers...always makes me feel better..xx

Well I haven't got any brandy but the rest of that lot is pretty much how I'll be spending the day. Tried to get up but was all dizzy so am back in bed :( Blah. Oh well, try to think positive, at least I won't spend anything today!
