how long do you get to make purchases for them to be included in 0% offer?

Hi,

I have a biggish purchase to make and am considering a credit card that offers 0% interest on purchases for a period. My question is how long usually do you have to make purchases to be included in this? Is it a month etc?

if longer I could add in some more purchases to take advantage even more if this makes sense.

Any help appreciated!

If you have a 0% purchases for X months then you do not have to pay interest on any purchases you make in those X months until X months after you got the card.

Any purchases you put on the card (at any time during the introductory period) will be at 0% until the introductory period ends. This could be 3 months, 6 months, even 16 months depending on the card.
