UPDATE::
We have part exchanged the zafira. We have gotta wait around 2 weeks for new one though as we have a private number plate that we have gotta get changed over.
We have had a Renault Megane 1.4 extreme. Our insurance has gone down by £200 a year, tax difference £230 from when ours would have gone up to £430. Does 40 mpg compared to the 20 mpg that the zafira does. We managed to get £4500 for the zafira and paid £6000 for new car which is an 06 reg.

Pretty good result in the end, much lower risk regarding failures and your sure to save on fuel. 40mpg is the official combined figure, if you get 30mpg+ on your driving conditions you'll be doing really well, if you see the same % drop as on the Zafira it will be 26/27mpg. Still a good saving though.:D0
