Foresters health care plan - existing condition???

Hello - we're just coming to the end of our first year with Foresters and hubby has a problem with a "skin tag" - he needs to see a consultant and it will probably have to be removed. I phoned Foresters today and the adviser said that any claim could be investigated and possibly refused (after we had applied) if it was considered to be a "pre-existing condition".

Now, that's fair enough but I don't want to go down the private route and then find out we can't claim anything back later.

There was nothing wrong with the skin tag two weeks ago (and it is not the kind of thing he could have been putting up with for a year to sneakily claim). I am not sure if it is a pre-existing condition?

Is anyone able to offer any advice??
