Online surveys dont work for me!

I do quite a few from different companys, and find that I quite often get products sent to me to sample. I then just answer a survey on the product! My mum is with the same companys, yet hardly ever gets sent anything! Odd really.
The money does seem to add up quite fast, but it is worth it for the products alone.Competition wins in 2009 - Nothing so far0 -
The thing that puts me off these kind of sites is the fact that you have to give personal information. I really don't like giving my address out to random websites.
On average, how much do people earn per hour on these kind of sites?0 -
YouGov seems to be a waste of time as it will take a few years to reach the £50. Try using My Search Funds as well as surveys and see how you get on?

I don't really know how much i earn an hour from doing it, however i do refuse to do an hour's survey for less than a £1. I also don't look at it as how much i earn an hour as its very unlikely it will ever be anywhere near minimum age but for people like me who want to make a bit extra, have their opinions heard and also want their freedom over their time, its great.
Naughtynat, know what you mean regarding testing products, i get very few test products sent to me, yet i know others who get sent loads. I have got some facial wipes to trial at the moment though!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I like IPSOS too. Last year I got a total of £40 from them. I don't get that many but when I do get them, most seem valid. Their postal ones are very good too. This weekend I completed one on dishwasher tablets etc for them which probably took about 20 minutes and will pay £10. They do pay in vouchers though (but popular ones - Boots, WHS, John Lewis, Argos etc).Predicted Net Worth 31/12/2018: -£38,898.03/-£34,616.86Target 31/12/2019: -£25,000Extra Income 2019: £1,500/£732.38Target Weight Loss 2019: -14 LBs/-2.5 LBsAs at 3/4/2019 MFiT-T5 No 490

I carry out TV and Consumer surveys for GFK. This month I have made £20 - £5 gift voucher for Jessops and £15 in Amazon vouchers. Hubby is looking for a new camera lense which is why I picked Jessops vouchers. Surveys take about 2 mins. Unfortunately I do not know how you join GFK. I got an email through with a link.
I no longer do "proper" surveys as I never seemed to fit into the companies criteria. Still trying to join Pinecone and Shop and Scan - fingers crossed!:D0 -

I have also done well with GFK,I joined about 6 months ago and every month so far I have won £5 in the monthly draws. It only takes a couple of minutes a day to tell them about which programmes I watched on TV the day before.
Other survey sites are very ' hit and miss '.I can go for ages and not get any surveys at all then 3 will come along at once.Ones I am usually quite lucky with are
Toluna
Valued Opinions
Lightspeed
Pinecone
MySurvey
Caio are a waste of time now, none of their surveys seem to pay more than 10p.I have finally got my first £50 cheque from Yougov, but it took me about 18 months to get there. At least you don't get screened out with Yougov, unlike a lot of other places.0 -

I haven't had a survey from ipsos in ages, i used to receive them all the time and get regular vouchers from them. Hopefully they will come back to me one day!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I am also fed up of going halfway through a survey only to be told I don't fit the criteria. Either that, or the survey gets 'stuck' and I can't finish it. I've stopped using several sites because of glitches, it is not worth the aggro fo .25p a time!Blagged: free samples of handwash from Molton Brown; booklet of walks from Brecon Carreg;
Free Diabetes monitor, free bee-friendly seeds, a MINI coin and a splash-proof book from Radox.:T0 -
It seems that the most successful survey participants are mums of young children or anyone earning an above average income. Failing that, being a Sun reader seems to put you in a "typical consumer" category. For test products, none come close to Pinecone and TNS although IPSOS and even Ciao aren't too bad.
For cash/high street vouchers I've found IPSOS, Valued Opinions, and GlobalTestMarket the most regular.
If you're in a position to refer friends, ItsYourView and Yougov are recommended - IYV pays you £2 for every friend and Yougov matches the earnings of any friends for a few months.
For keeping up to date with new survey sites, it's worth bookmarking one or two of the free survey directories. A lot of people on this forum have recommended WhichSurveys.com and I'd have to agree with them.best wins to date-£500, 48 theme park tickets, Holiday to Italy+£250, Venus makeover package, laptops, pro-audio gear, £500 B&Q, £1500 Gucci bag, £1000 Maplin0
