Nikon have pulled their sponsership but the game should still continue, just without Nikon advertising appearing etc. Although it is now 13th so they must be extending it cuz it was originally due to end on the 14th and I doubt they will give away the last 100 (ish) in 1 day lol!

Wish Iconic Britain would just keep the site updated and tell us whats going on.

I just noticed this is on the comps ending list so expect a few comments about it being 'game over' until they sort it out as a few probably wont bother reading up on it :rotfl:

Took this bit from the statement by nikon. I think they may just honour the winners and stop the comp as it would take forever for live search to get the rights to all te images.



Following the complaints Coleman has withdrawn as a judge and Nikon said in a statement: "Nikon would like to confirm that it has withdrawn its support from Microsoft's Iconic Britain competition. This is due to feedback and concerns raised by photographers and entrants surrounding the competition mechanic that was developed and promoted by Microsoft.
"Nikon will fulfil its prize commitment to the winners, however it will not be associated with the competition going forward."

I think that if they were going to honour any then it will only be the ones in the first hour or two. They can't honour all the "wins" as there was about 3000 over those dodgy few days. I am even unsure if my win from the other day is real. I think anyone that wins from this comp won't believe it until the see it due to all the problems this comp has had. The comp ends soon(i think) so we will just have to wait and see which winners get confirmation.

Does that mean we're going to get relegated to the pits of "Game Over" later on today, even though I'm actually expecting them to bring it back today? I like this thread..

and I've always had this doubt about the "broken weekend" that they ever received the winner's requests from filling the forms in, and that whoever got into their system got them.. but meh, we'll know soon enough!

No, none went at all yesterday. Looks like another Live search comp I didn't win. Unless we all get our cameras from the broken day but I wont hold my breath :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
