this link makes me feel a lot better about the DSLR's.. (I know its pretty similar to the previous one, but that mentioned the coolpix specifically, this implies all )

Nikon will fulfil its prize commitment to the winners, however it will not be associated with the competition going forward

after reading around the subject a lot, I completely agree with Nikon's standpoint on all of this, and I hope Microsoft make a big official apology to anyone affected by their images being used.. *shakes fist*

I won't be surprised if they pull the final voting section now.. which will be a shame.

I read they were getting licences for the "final 500" so I guess it depends on how long/how much that takes to get done..

well they've taken every reference to Nikon from the IB page now, and the cameras are all black, but in the T&C's it still states nikon cameras.. so they've been on the website at least since we contacted them..

I've only just heard about this.

What a total mess, it never occurred to me that people would be annoyed about their pictures being used, but I can totally see their point. It sounds as though this was pretty poorly organised from the start.

Glad to hear about the coolpix but I hope all our DSLR wins are honoured as well.

I want to phone them but I'm at work... plus they kinda scare me.. I get the feeling they're probably being bombarded at the moment by so many people.. but I feel let down they haven't replied to my email

gemma, they've never replied to my emails but I'm the same as you about them scaring me....................we need to find someone brave enough to call them and find out whats happening!lol

why not just calm down and take a breather
you are fretting about nothing
if after 28 days or whatever like it says in the t+cs you do not recieve your prize
give them a bell

you are really getting worked up about nothing
