Although we are unable to discuss individual claims, we can advise that a number of voting entries submitted on 28th and 29th of June were not transmitted correctly.

All winning claims outside the effected time period have been received intact and will be receiving a prize as per the competition terms and conditions.

All winners, including those on the 28th and 29th of June, will be notified within one week of the end of the competition period, with all 280 Nikon Coolpix S550 cameras allocated to winners by the 14th of August.

For the best chance to win a camera please continue to take part in Iconic Britain

Do you think if we asked them what the duration of the effected time period was they'd tell us so we could figure out if any of the wins over saturday/sunday are going to get camera's?

Hi guys,

Know how on Saturday it went broke from 1pm-12am (everyone was winning). But then from 12am-8am on the Sunday it seemed to be ok and I 'won' during this period at around 3am. I emailed them with my code to ask if it was genuine as it appeared to be fixed at this time but I wasn't sure. They replied:

They did not specify the affected time period though but it does say that some people DID win on 28th/29th so I guess I'll just have to wait and see if a camera turns up lol! And it says you don't get your confirmation emails til after the comp finishes. Good luck to all. x

the only issue i have is this being such a time consuming competition and i see people are addicted to it and click for hours on end

We all enter for things we want, we spend time doing what we want, priorities are different for everyone.

Hey Josie - I don't think the things that ginjim are saying are THAT bad.

I think in essence he's just asking wouldn't it be a nice thing to just win a couple of prizes and give others a chance - BUT maybe julie is going to give her SWAG to friends/family anyways....

I think ginjim's questions are OK to be fair - and a lot nicer than some of the stuff I've seen on these boards.....

Well, no further news on whether I'll get my camera - I guess it will be a happy surprise if it does turn up (I've promised it to OH anyway!)

As for the arguing - what does it matter how many times people click and win? I've stopped playing, so does that mean someone else can click twice as much now (if that's possible )

The thing about comping is that it's about LUCK so as long as you're all acting within the T&Cs GOOD LUCK to you all no matter if you have one click a day or 1000. If people think it's 'greedy', then that's silly!

Let's all get on - the positive spirit of the comps board in particular is why I love coming here

Exactly no-one know what the motives are for anyone entering competitions

But who made him judge and jury?

I think Julie can answer for herself, but I don't like to see anyone pushed into a corner and made a spectacle of.

Perhaps people will just stop reporting their wins - I know the same thing happened in the Fanta Wii room comp & Virgin comp to name a couple, because the same persecution happened, its human nature unfortunately, and until the promoters put a 'one win' clause into the T&C's then it will continue to happen.

If I was lucky enough to win one, I would stop, but ONLY for the sake of my sanity because it is so boring.
