Earn extra income New Business - but how?!

Hi,

I would like to start a new business to run along my full time job in order to try and earn some extra income.

I would like to start on an online basis selling a particular type & brand of product which I think will sell well due to the economic status and prices/taxation of motoring in general.

Anyway can anyone help me in regards to....how to source products, which avenues can one take? I mean do I have to just email the company I want the product from asking them can I sell their stuff???

Would I have any tax benefits if yes what could I claim back?
Due to not having alot of financial backup to buy stock I would probably try and see if droppshipping could be an option, but I doubt anyone would be able to supply me with the specific product which at this moment in time is only on sale in Japan and which is made by Matsuchita (Panasonic).
Actually the products are made by National which is one of their trade names.

Any help in any direction muchly appreciated.
