Noisy windows

Would appreciate any help please, with the winds being gale force today, we have had a bad whistling and whooshing noise from some of our windows when the back door was opened. They look fine no gaps to speak off but has anyone an answer how to cure this? Only been in this home 3 weeks so cannot say how long this has been going on.

Just a suggestion
Sometimes the silicon sealant doesn’t stick to the plastic properly , usually between the trim and the window frame.
When the wind blows in a certain direction the silicon vibrates against the frame or trim.
You wouldn’t believe the noise it can make.
Just run your thumb nail along the edge of the silicon to see if it lifts up, if so remove it and reseal.0 -
Agree with Trogg, usually the sealant not adheared, most common when installer puts on a really fine seal to keep things looking neat, the upvc expands and contracts and the silicone loses contact, try opening a window at the front and another at the back to get a through draught and if you hear the noise start trying to peel the silicone off the inside, normally between the frame and the ingoe or trim, if it's at fault it will come off easily and the noise will stop, solution, reseal with good quality low modulus sealant0

Thank you all for your replies. We will try the solutions you have come up with.0

Agree with trogg's comments as we experienced something similar in our last house, sounded like there was a fly in the room sometimes or somebody blowing down the edge of some paper!!
I was told to remove as much of the silicon as possible and then fill the gaps with decorators caulk as as this was supposedly better as it expanded and contracted with the windows and this seemed to do the trick.0
