After hunting for a Nintendo, we finally found one in a well known store, but it ment traveling an hour & a half to get it, but we decided to go for it. I got the package on finance paying monthly on direct debit, went through the credit check, they had all my details, bank account info, passport etc, paid the inital payment there and then and took the package home. But a week later, I got a call saying they had got my date of birth wrong!? (really dont know how!) and could I pop back to sign something again (even though we went through my details very thouroughly) I explained I lived an hour & a half away, and I would try to make it through in the next week. I had another call 2 days later saying 'could I hurry up and come back to sign something, or I will have to bring all my info back, set up direct debit again and even go through the credit score again!? now Ive realised they havent been taking the monthly direct debit from my account!? Whats going on? have they made a big error?!?? Hope someone can help? Thanksyou!......

I think someone's made a major stuff up here, not set up the loan and 'given' you the console. Now I'd be tempted to tell them if they've got that kind of attitude to either pay for my travel costs and time (if it's a serious inconvenience) or just mail out the docs they want signing with a SAE to send it back to them.0

I'd agree with Mr Sheepy. Only thing is: Don't finance docs have to be signed on premises in the presence of the retailer as witness or they aren't valid? The man without a signature.0 -

Their error - why should you be inconvenienced?? Tell them to come to you if it is imperative that you sign these documents. You've got the console, right?Genie

They messed up, so tell 'em to either come to you or pay for the taxi. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0

Well I've managed to sign my credit card docs and others I'm sure have signed docs for store cards/catalogues etc at home.
One thing to warn you - they may start to play hard ball and threaten you with the cops and that you've 'stolen' the goods, now theft needs to involve some form of dishonesty and intention to permanantly deprive, this isn't what the op is trying to do I'm sure - make sure that you clearly state you are willing to pay just that you don't see why you should go out of your way due to their mistake.0 -
Wow....didnt expect such a quick response!! Its an odd situation isnt it! Appreciate all the advice guys! Thanks alot!0
