Are You Allowed To Sell Real Crocodile Skin Handbags On Ebay?

Whilst searching through Ebay my partner stubbled across a listing for a real crocodile skin handbag with bidding over £120 and reserve not met. However I thought such items would be banned from listing due to the modern thinking around animal protection. Is this really allowed?

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed...
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.
  • I don't think crocodiles are endangered, so it should be allowed under eBay rules

My personal policy is that I am willing to trade in vintage crocodile skin or fur items, but not new ones.

As far as I am aware vintage crocodile is fine. Also it is not an endangered species as lets face it crocodile is now on restaurant menus so they are hardly going to throw away the carcass.
Louis Vuitton are still selling crocodile handbags so I think as long as it is true croc, not designer fake then it is fine.

I once saw a listing for a pair of 'Mock Faux Croc Shoes" - does this mean they were real?:D
