in Credit cards
Hey,
can someone let me know if this is allowed. A member of staff in my daughters work is being told by their manager to phone their friends to get their details to open a store card, therefore its not actually signed and no balance is put on it?
Cheers x

Does the card require a credit search? Assuming it does, and it'll leave a mark on their credit report, are you asking if it's fraudulent to apply for credit in someone else's name?"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0

Yeah, the friend gave permisson for them to phone up and do the credit check and open the account, but was just wondering if this was allowed?0

With consent then it is ok I suppose, but unless a credit agreement is signed then the account should not be opened, I would be careful with this one.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

I bet this is for commission purposes and for the store to earn its target0

I've heard of this happening before in a store where I used to work.
Senior management put so much pressure on staff to open storecards....and then managers resort to begging people to open them.
I over heard a manager of a local retail store on the phone last week trying to justify to head office why they hadnt opened enough store cards. Maybe if they lowered their interest rates more people would be interested !!!!0 -
I used to live with someone who worked for Homebase and the same thing happened to him. He phoned me from work and asked me to apply for the store card. I told him to !!!!!! off.0
