Huge eyelet curtains

(That would be huge curtains with eyelets, not HUGE eyelets)

I am after some nice ready-made lined eyelet curtains sized 108 by 108 (or 274 by 274cm)

In brown or cream or a mixture of both, but not garish. All I keep finding are the same ones that look like flock wallpaper or christmas crackers. :D

Has anyone seen any nice ones, or can you recommend somewhere not enormously expensive to have them made?

Thanks

I got a pair in Argos, lined burgundy velvet, 30 quid in their bargain bucket - didn't notice the eyelets til I got it home, but it looks great :)

If you've got a TJ Hughes near you they often sell them in a suede fabric at a reasonable price in browns and creams so worth a look there. Not sure if they do them online though.

Roseby's (sp?) is another reasonably priced shop, as is Harry Corry(sp?) if you have one of those too, to have a look in.

Or at the dearer end of the scale have you tried Debenhams? They would be worth a look too especially during sales which I think they have one on now.

I got some lovely curtains from Debenhams albeit not ones with eyelets in them for £20 a pair for 90x90ins reduced from over £100 so well worth a nosey.

    Good luck

Surprisigly, B & Q do quite a good range of eyelet curtains and reasonably prices also. Or if you have a Dunelm near you they do curtains and I believe you can order online as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have looked at them online, but the problem I am still having is finding the correct length.

In most places the standard longest size seems to be 90, even in John Lewis, Debenhams, Dunelm etc.

I have, however, found loads I like in 90x90  Why don't they make them any longer?

It's a pain isn't it, I've had that problem. Google "long curtains" and a few online companies come up saying they do longer lengths.

I can just about sew a straight line, but then get stuck when it comes to lined curtains. I don't want to risk it on curtains that cost a lot in the first place!

I think I will try to find some not hideously expensive made to measure ones. For some reason really large curtains only seem to come in lurid fabrics.
